Upstate Food Hub 2013: A Business Connection Event for Upstate Food Producers and Food Buyers

Join edible Upcountry magazine, presenting sponsor AgSouth Farm Credit as well as supporting sponsors Whole Foods Market, Happy Cow Creamery and Greenville Tech’s Culinary Institute of the Carolinas for the 2nd annual Upstate Food Hub, a business-to-business networking event for Upstate food producers (farmers, food/drink artisans, etc) and Upstate food buyers (restaurants, caterers, markets, value-added processors, schools/institutions, etc.). The inaugural Food Hub event in 2012 was an incredible success and 2013's promises to be even better!
Grass-fed beef and poultry farmer Will Harris of White Oak Pastures in south Georgia will be keynote speaker. Mr. Harris has been featured in a Southern Foodways Alliance documentary film and sells his products throughout the Southeast through retailers such as Whole Foods Market and Publix Supermarkets. The Harris family also operates the only on-farm USDA inspected processing plant east of the Mississippi.
Start 2013 off right with this afternoon half-day meeting of lively, pertinent panel discussion and structured networking, followed by a happy hour featuring our food region’s delicious bounty.
